Welcome to LRC!
There is a place for everyone at Life Restoration Center. The purpose of this Spirit-filled church family is to share the love of Jesus Christ with our community and our world. The atmosphere here is Christ centered, therefore, there is a feeling of safety; a place where everyone is received, accepted, and equipped with a foundation of friendship and the spiritual tools that will help them to grow in their relationship with the Lord. The singing and worship is vibrant. The preaching from the word of God is anointed and passionate. The entire tone here at LRC is designed to bring every one who attends into connection with God. Our leaders are encouraged and trained to minister in relative ways to each and every segment of our church. We earnestly endeavor to minister to the needs of our Youth, Children, Young Adults, Seniors, and Singles in a way that meets their emotional, physical and spiritual needs. Our compassion and love for the community is revealed in Life Restoration’s outreach to the lonely, hurting, addicted, and sometimes neglected folks of our society. Our church family consistently extends expressions of love out, beyond the walls of our building with, “Street Reach”, Block Parties, “Big Days”, Food Bank, Transportation Ministry, and offers of “Life Skills” classes, and Bible Studies, etc. We also conduct throughout the year defined, specialty classes, and seminars, aimed at ministering to people from all walks of life concerning the everyday challenges they face. We encourage you to give us a visit here at LRC. We know you will feel the warmth of our fellowship and the glory of Christ’s presence. Pastors Ronald & Catherine
Ron and Catherine met at Texas Bible College in Houston, Texas. They were married soon thereafter, and begin their life and ministry together. After some years of assisting pastors, and doing evangelistic work in Ohio, Louisiana, North and South Carolina, they came back to Rons home town, Greenville, SC, and began to serve the church that they presently pastor, Life Restoration Center. Their passion and love for the work of God is right away evident. Their leadership and ministry skills have been honed through the years, as they have held positions on organizational and community boards and committees, and have also ministered at conferences, seminars and various other religious and secular venues. If they have one all consuming desire, it is to fulfill the challenge that Jesus affirmed in Mark 12:30:31, thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strengthAnd this second is, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these. The Bible tells us that if we keep these two commands we will fulfill all the law.You dont have to be around Pastors Ron and Catherine Nelson very long to sense their love and passion for Jesus Christ and the people they minister to. Their common touch and down to earth style has permeated the atmosphere of Life Restoration Center. Their ability to relate to a diverse and varied cross-section of people, from the misfortunate and down-trodden, to the professional and entrepreneur, has developed the church they pastor into a place of acceptance and belonging. Pastor Nelson states occasionally to the congregation and quests, Youre in a safe place! Many years of ministry has taught this couple that God is love, and He came in the person of Jesus Christ, not to condemn, but rather to save, heal, deliver and set free. This is why at this Spirit-filled church, its not about exalted personalities, fancy titles, and haughty attitudes. Its about Jesus, and helping people at every stage of life connect with HIM! You wont find any perfect people at LRC--just flawed folks who are trying to disengage from their past and step into their future with renewed hope. You will meet a Pastor and his wife who will reach out to you with warmth and friendliness. The HIMitators is an exciting Student Ministry for ages 12 & up. Student Pastor Donnie Freeze and his wife Alecia have a vision for an unprecidented move of God's Spirit for the rising generation. They are believing that God is going to use this ministry to touch the lives of multitudes of students. Their passion is to reclaim this generation for the Kingdom of God.
